Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking combat as the sole focus may find trading, food, crafting, and city management divide attention
- Players wanting low-risk travel may dislike losing cargo and returning to the departure city when the carriage is destroyed
- Players looking for a purely city-based management game may not want repeated wilderness journeys
- Players who prefer broad skill loadouts may find the eight-skill active limit restrictive
Our take on Badland Caravan
The game ties trade and settlement growth to hazardous travel, so economic plans remain exposed to caravan failure. Food management and limited active skills add preparation demands, while the focus on connected systems leaves less room for a single-purpose combat experience.
What is Badland Caravan?
Badland Caravan combines trading, city development, party management, and wilderness travel.
Cities produce different goods that can be bought cheaply and sold where demand is higher. Taverns offer adventurers with varying traits; weapons, armor, and fighting instruction prepare them to defend the caravan. City land can be purchased for constructions that increase production, expand accommodation, or forge stronger weapons. During journeys, the carriage must be protected from wolves, hostile adventurers, and undead. Food affects character abilities, while collected resources can be turned into equipment. Characters gain skill points when upgrading and can learn unlimited skills, but only eight skills can be assigned to each character.
How Badland Caravan plays
- 01City Trading
- Local goods can be purchased in one settlement and sold in another where they are scarce.
- 02Caravan Defense
- Recruitable adventurers can receive equipment and combat training to guard the carriage and its cargo.
- 03City Construction
- Buying land enables buildings that affect production, population capacity, and weapon forging.
- 04Wilderness Resources
- Special materials are guarded by monsters and can be gathered with suitable tools for later equipment crafting.
- 05Limited Skill Loadouts
- Each character may learn without a stated limit but can use only eight skills at once.
