Our take on Dust to the End
The game combines trade, combat, and settlement management, so its focus is spread across several systems rather than resting on a single activity. Players seeking a combat-only or trade-only experience may find that breadth comes at the cost of a more concentrated loop.
What is Dust to the End?
Following the destruction of Shelter 507, the player crosses a ruined world alongside a traveling trading group.
More than 100 commodities can be bought and sold in a market whose prices respond to availability and demand. Over 50 settlements offer varying services and merchandise. The partly open map includes wandering creatures, raiders, wildlife, rival caravans, and dangerous terrain. Battles proceed by turns and include nine weapon classes plus specialized abilities. Recruited mercenaries possess distinct personalities that shape morale, group condition, and fighting performance. The player may search abandoned shelters, run subterranean settlements, expand production sites and other structures, and employ noncombat helpers. Conversation decisions alter the narrative, leading to several possible conclusions.
