Back Fire is a live-action interactive movie set around the border area of Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China.
It follows Hongyu, whose mission with his brother Hongda is disrupted by an ambush from drug lord Gongtai. After escaping, Hongyu seeks a place in General Chaman’s newly formed lone-wolf team before returning to the border to target Gongtuo, Gongtai’s brother. Players select options during the story, changing its progression and final outcome. Gunfights use interactive actions and retain many shots from the filmed combat sequences. The game provides no countdown prompts or plot roadmap, and it does not allow replaying a completed run. Its stated goal is for each player to reach an individual ending while uncovering the world’s hidden secret.
