Our take on Arto
Players who want a single fixed combat rhythm may hit a wall when the game asks them to choose among spell combinations, weapon ranges, and attack speeds. Story-focused players may also lose interest when choices about other apostles become part of how the ending is shaped.
What is Arto?
Arto is an action RPG about restoring color to a world drained by a cataclysm.
Combat centers on the Paint Arrow, which can gain traits and combine with projectile spells in more than 80 combinations. Abilities include multiple dashes, parrying, counterattacks, and upgradeable weapons. Weapons support different combat ranges and speeds, and a radial menu allows swaps during combos. Exploration involves finding environmental clues, meeting inhabitants, and helping them with tasks. A branching dialogue system lets players shape their character, while choices about other apostles affect the story’s ending. Optional bosses provide additional combat challenges.
