Instead of placing defenses and waiting for waves, the game reverses the familiar tower-defense structure by making human forces the attacking side. Unit transformation, direct battlefield command, and alternate campaign outcomes also shape its strategy format.
What is Anomaly 2?
Anomaly 2 is an action-strategy game set on a frozen, post-apocalyptic Earth overrun by alien machines.
In the single-player campaign, players command the Yukon convoy, plan troop movements, and support units directly as an on-field Commander. Troops can transform into war mechs, with each form offering different abilities for specific combat situations. Squad building provides over a million tactical combinations. Campaign choices can lead to alternative endings based on the approach taken toward enemy machines. Multiplayer divides players between tower defense and tower offense: one side controls alien towers, while the other leads human forces against them. The game continues the reversed tower-defense concept of Anomaly: Warzone Earth while adding unit morphing, a new campaign, and multiplayer.
