What is Ancient Space?
Ancient Space is a single-player real-time strategy game about leading a fleet into the unexplored Black Zone.
Missions progress the story, reveal new regions, and combine resource gathering with objectives such as defense, offense, escort, and stealth. Players build, maintain, and improve different ship types, choosing vessels for distinct tactical roles in battles against pirates and aliens. Before each mission, up to three officers can be selected for their special abilities, while additional crew members can be recruited during the campaign. The game includes voiced characters associated with Star Trek: Enterprise, Battlestar Galactica, and Firefly. Its story follows a scientific mission, a search for a lost expedition, and questions about humanity and science.
