Our take on ALTF42
Permadeath defines the structure: every failed run removes saving and sends the player back to the beginning, making trap recognition and repeated attempts central to the experience.
What is ALTF42?
ALTF42 follows Don Quixote as he attempts to rescue a king transformed into a chicken.
The game centers on navigating traps and reaching the goal while facing hazards such as exploding skeletons, airborne police cars, sharks, and giant bosses. Permadeath removes saving, so each attempt starts again after failure. Players rely on reflexes, movement control, and emotional restraint to overcome the stages. Items can be purchased as an alternative aid, while the game also includes background music and many possible death scenarios. After reaching the end, Siege Mode provides an additional challenge involving alternate versions of Don Quixote.
