Our take on KAMiBAKO - Mythology of Cube -
Its defining structure is the connection between restoration puzzles and map development: clearing fragmentation opens land for facilities, resources, stores, and eventually named settlements.
What is KAMiBAKO - Mythology of Cube -?
KAMiBAKO follows a Restorer traveling across the continent of Noahtun, where the land has broken into cubes.
Restoration puzzles remove fragmentation and return affected areas to their former state. Repaired land can then be developed with farmland, buildings, facilities, fences, walls, and gates. Development produces crops and other resources, opens stores, and can turn enclosed areas into named villages or towns. Monsters may damage the land during exploration, leading to battles with teammates. Teammates attack automatically, while the Restorer grants Mana to charge weapon skills and enable stronger attacks. The overworld includes land and sea, changing seasons, unexplored regions, encounters, battles, and further fragmentation.
