Our take on Agarest: Generations of War Zero
Players may bounce off during party management rather than combat itself: the card skills, crafting, Vacation Days, bride selection, and generational consequences create several systems to track before later battles.
What is Agarest: Generations of War Zero?
Agarest: Generations of War ZERO is a prequel tactical RPG set in a world damaged by a prolonged war between the forces of light and darkness.
Players follow Sieghart, a young officer whose encounter with a mysterious girl changes the course of history. The campaign spans multiple generations and offers a choice between paths of light and darkness. Battles use turn-based combat with chain attacks, special abilities, extra skills, overkills, and large enemies. Party development includes a card-based skill system, crafting through the Blacksmith’s Guild, relationship-focused Vacation Days, and the Soul Breed system, where choosing a bride affects later generations. The PC version includes mouse and keyboard controls, gamepad support, cloud saving, achievements, trading cards, and free included DLC.
