SimulationIs Accretion worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players interested in astrophysics who want a game built around celestial mass interactions
- Action players who prefer evolving a single cosmic body over controlling a conventional character
- Simulation fans who want procedurally generated space and changing physical trajectories
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a fixed, predictable progression may find the physics-driven outcomes difficult to anticipate
- Those wanting a tightly scripted campaign may not enjoy open scenes and procedurally generated environments
- Players looking for grounded human-scale action may find the celestial scale and abstract objectives unsuitable
Our take on Accretion
The defining mechanic is mass-driven evolution: one celestial body grows from a gas cloud toward planetary, stellar, or black-hole forms while its surroundings respond to calculated gravity and relativity.
What is Accretion?
Accretion simulates a celestial body moving through an open, procedurally generated universe.
Gather mass and develop from a gas cloud into a planet, star, or supermassive black hole while gravity, relativity, orbital motion, collisions, and accretion shape the environment. The game calculates mass interactions in real time, including distorted spacetime, gravitational slingshots, accretion disks, jets, and breaches from celestial impacts. Challenge levels provide different objectives, while open scenes allow exploration in any direction. As the body grows, abilities support pursuit and evasion during confrontations. Emerging intelligent life can alter the action with larger gravitational influence, faster movement, repairs, decoys, wormholes, mines, and railguns.
How Accretion plays
- 01Procedural Open Universes
- Open scenes are generated procedurally and can be explored without directional boundaries.
- 02Physics-Based Growth
- Mass interactions use real-time calculations involving Newtonian gravity, relativistic space distortion, and gravitational lensing.
- 03Celestial Evolution
- The controlled body can progress from a gas cloud into a planet, star, or supermassive black hole.
- 04Emergent Civilizations
- Intelligent life can provide decoys, wormholes, mines, railguns, repairs, speed, and expanded gravitational influence.
