Our take on Absent Mind
Rather than centering horror on combat, Absent Mind uses visual discrepancies as its main puzzle structure. The hospital’s objects also carry story clues, making observation and interpretation central to the experience.
What is Absent Mind?
Absent Mind is a horror puzzle game set in a hospital that serves as a passage to the afterlife.
Players explore its rooms, searching for objects and details that do not belong, such as a bottle hidden in a plant vase or a trashcan mounted on a wall. These spot-the-difference puzzles reveal clues about the character’s past and leave parts of the story open to interpretation. A demon roams the hospital halls as players face the possibility of moving on to another life or remaining there as a patient. The game combines an abandoned-hospital setting with semi-realistic graphics and a story assembled from environmental clues.
How Absent Mind plays

- 02Clue-Led Story
- Details found in the hospital suggest parts of the character’s life before death while leaving interpretation open.
- 03Demon in the Halls
- A demon lurks inside the hospital during exploration.
