Our take on Zoria: Age of Shattering
The setting, exploration, and lore receive substantial emphasis, but combat is described as the game's central activity. Resource upkeep, deteriorating equipment and vitality, outpost progression, and companion assignments form a management layer that may be less apparent from the fantasy-world presentation.
What is Zoria: Age of Shattering?
Zoria: Age of Shattering is a squad-based tactical RPG set across the Uram continent, where a four-hero party confronts monsters, bosses, necromancers, and other threats.
Battles use turn-based positioning, ranged and close attacks, healing, shields, status effects, and environmental interactions. Each character has skills, perks, abilities, statistics, and equipment that can be developed for different combat roles. Exploration covers forests, caves, buildings, quests, mysteries, and areas that may require particular skills or character interactions. The outpost can be expanded through building upgrades that provide resources, quests, or items. Companions can also receive assignments for missions conducted without the active party, returning with discoveries and some experience. Crafting includes weapon forging and armor upgrades, while equipment and vitality deteriorate over time.
