Our take on Weakless
The defining constraint is controlling only one Weaveling at a time, which makes switching between their different senses central to solving puzzles.
What is Weakless?
Weakless is a puzzle-adventure game about two wooden Weavelings, one deaf and one blind, who travel through an organic fantasy world.
Control only one character at a time, switching between them to use their different senses and abilities during exploration and puzzle solving. Their journey crosses glowing-fungi caves, natural basins, ruins and other bioluminescent environments. The story follows the friendship between the two companions as they investigate the past of their civilization and work to restore Resin, the life energy of their world. The village and its inhabitants face the advancing Rot. The Deaf One’s sketchbook gives additional insight into his thoughts during the journey.
How Weakless plays
- 01One-character control
- The two Weavelings cannot be controlled together, so each puzzle uses one perspective at a time.
- 02Different sensory abilities
- The deaf and blind characters perceive their surroundings in distinct ways and have abilities connected to those differences.
- 03Resin restoration
- The story includes restoring the flow of Resin, described as the life energy of every living creature in the world.
- 04Deaf One sketchbook
- The sketchbook offers a view of the Deaf One’s thoughts about the journey.
- 05Organic environments
- Exploration includes caves with glowing fungi, natural basins, forgotten ruins and other distinctive landscapes.
