Our take on Zorbus
Rather than relying on a fixed dungeon layout, Zorbus rebuilds its levels randomly for each run. Its dungeon inhabitants also act independently, reacting to threats, light, and sound instead of serving only as stationary encounters.
What is Zorbus?
Zorbus is a fantasy, tile-based, turn-based roguelike about descending through a dungeon to find a portal to the mythical Zorbus.
Creatures can be recruited along the way. Each run uses a randomly generated dungeon, and character death is permanent; loading a save deletes that save file. Dungeon inhabitants can fight one another, flee, call for help, and use or collect items. They react to light and sound, while some have darkvision.
Character progression uses races and experience levels but no classes. At each level, players assign points to skills and talents. Controls include configurable keybindings, mouse support, and a game controller. The display can use tile graphics in three sizes or ASCII characters, with adjustable window mode, font, and text size.
