Our take on Dreadborne Drifters
Rather than centering exploration or extended questing, the game uses short, randomly generated runs built around continuous shooting and equipment growth. Its weapon system also shifts customization away from waiting for rare procedural drops and toward attaching components to selected guns.
What is Dreadborne Drifters?
Play as a wandering Inquisition agent traveling through dystopian post-apocalyptic environments via void portals.
Dreadborne Drifters combines fast 2D platforming with action-RPG progression: shoot mutants and heretics, open treasure chests, collect loot, and improve equipment while taking on stronger threats. Three classes offer different combat approaches: the Enforcer uses ground attacks, rockets, and an energy shield; the Dronemancer commands drones and uses grenades and a death beam; and the Stalker detonates corpses, manipulates time, and drains enemies’ souls. Maps are randomly generated and include structures, enemies, underground areas, terrain variations, and occasional events. Rare items provide perks for build combinations, while talents gained through leveling add further character customization.
