We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Roguelike shooter players who want to build around weapon stats and attachments
- Small groups who want online co-op for up to 4 players
- Players who enjoy fighting monster waves with class skills and support defenses
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for a slow-paced or meditative experience; combat centers on fighting waves of enemies.
- Players who want a low-pressure co-op run may dislike friendly fire and the focus on surviving enemy attacks.
- Players seeking a story-led adventure rather than repeat combat and character builds.
Our take on ZCREW
The focus on combat builds and shared fights comes with a trade-off: friendly fire means co-op partners can damage one another, so group play carries an added risk.
What is ZCREW?
ZCREW is a roguelike shooter set in a world overrun by plague-born monsters.
Choose a character and fight with weapons and skills against zombies, giant insects, and other mutated creatures. Collect resources and customize four types of firearms with weapon attachments and more than 50 weapon stats, including options such as explosions, knockback, and penetration. Character classes, talents, and specializations offer different ways to build a playstyle. Turrets, lasers, and traps provide additional battle support. The game can be played solo or online in co-op with up to 4 players, with friendly fire enabled. Randomly appearing chests can unlock automatic attacks such as missiles, lightning, sawblades, and Blade Qi. The Snowfield map features the Alien Overlord and its minions.
