Daylight is for gathering resources; after dark, zombies become more aggressive and better at detecting prey, so taking shelter matters. Reclaiming occupied facilities provides access to unique resources, while sealing zombie caves can make controlled territory safer. Zombies use sight, hearing, and smell to find survivors. Players scavenge and hunt for food, craft medicine against infection, and can hack robotic defenses so they assist rather than attack.
