Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a slow, story-led adventure may bounce off the constant arena combat and repeated enemy encounters

- Players seeking online multiplayer may not find the local co-op structure suitable
- Players wanting a large weapon collection may find 10 weapons restrictive
Our take on Xeno Crisis
The likely bounce point arrives when randomized layouts and enemy-specific responses become central to progress. Players who rely on repeating a fixed route may struggle once each of the seven areas changes, while limited ammunition and upgrade choices add pressure between sections.
What is Xeno Crisis?
Xeno Crisis is an arena shooter for solo play or two-player local co-op.
Players control marines moving through Outpost 88, a devastated research facility divided into seven areas. Each area is randomly generated during every play, requiring tactics to change between runs. Combat involves movement, shooting, weapon selection, ammunition management, and responses to different enemy behaviors, including flanking, timed attacks, and avoidance. Players can use 10 weapons and collect dog-tags from defeated enemies. Between areas, dog-tags can be exchanged for upgrades such as additional health, weapon power-ups, or extra continues. The game includes three modes, two difficulty levels, varied enemy types, pixel art, and an FM chiptune soundtrack. Local co-op requires at least one controller for the second player.
