Is Wrack worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Arcade shooter fans who want single-player combat built around maintaining kill chains
- Players who enjoy learning boss attack patterns and using special attacks against them
- Score-chasing players who want timed modes, leaderboards, and community-made levels
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a stealth-focused shooter may bounce off the need to stay active and keep attacking to preserve chains.
- Players seeking a relaxed pace may hit a wall during boss encounters that require observing attacks and evading them.
- Players looking for cooperative or multiplayer shooting will not find that structure here.
- Players who do not want to create or play community-made content may have little use for the Workshop features.
Our take on Wrack
The bounce point arrives when chain maintenance becomes the central demand: players who pause, hide, or break combat flow lose the system’s main resource. Boss encounters add another wall, requiring attack-pattern recognition and deliberate evasion before damage can be dealt.
What is Wrack?
Wrack is a single-player arcade shooter focused on continuous combat against alien enemies.
Defeating opponents in quick succession builds a kill chain, which can be spent on finishers that clear groups, damage strong enemies, or attack bosses. Bosses and minibosses require learning their attack patterns and evading their strikes. The game also includes Time Attack and Score Attack modes, with results recorded on Steam leaderboards for comparison with friends and other players. Steam Workshop support allows players to create levels or larger modifications, then share or play community creations. Its structure combines enemy encounters with score-focused modes and user-generated content.
