Our take on ZOE Begone!
The likely sticking point is the timed mode: progress depends on clearing enemies quickly, while extra seconds come from enemy chains and mini-boss challenges. Players who prefer unhurried exploration may hit a wall once the clock controls each encounter.
What is ZOE Begone!?
ZOE Begone!
is a solo arcade shooter set in repeating arenas, mixing run-and-gun movement with bullet-hell action. Fire weapons, dash, and slam through stages, wreck the Animator’s equipment, and eliminate foes rapidly to keep progressing. Enemies leave Apples that can fund weapons and enhancements between reels, such as stronger basic shots, faster movement, greater shield capacity, and a wider pickup radius. Dots replenish dash energy, while quick takedowns raise a chaining score multiplier.
A timed mode awards additional seconds for enemy streaks and mini-boss victories. A separate mode delivers a longer sequence of boss encounters. The package contains 3 modes, 3 difficulty levels, gamepad and keyboard input, and 55 Steam achievements. Each mode and difficulty combination has both online and same-device score tables.
