Our take on Wrack: Exoverse
Combining maze construction, turret placement, item collection, and direct shooting creates a layered run structure, but it also asks players to divide attention between defense planning and active combat instead of focusing on one of those systems alone.
What is Wrack: Exoverse?
Wrack: Exoverse combines tower defense with comic-styled shooting in changing, procedurally generated worlds.
Each run centers on protecting a Beacon by arranging tower bases into a maze, then adding turrets, control fields, and explosive mines. Turrets can be upgraded as waves approach. Direct combat supplements the defenses, with pistols, shotguns, and alien weapons available for shooting and slashing enemies. Damage builds an ultimate attack, while each weapon has its own special attack properties. Items such as weapons, runes, and artifacts can appear before waves, drop from defeated enemies, or be bought in the shop. Runs vary through different world layouts, challenges, and outcomes.
