Our take on World of Contraptions
The large block count and varied obstacle list suggest broad construction possibilities, but the main campaign is presented as 100 levels. Much of the additional scope comes from the sandbox, mountain challenge, level editor, and community content rather than a larger stated campaign.
What is World of Contraptions?
Create physics-driven contraptions from over 110 blocks, such as frames, wheels, motors, hinges, and other components.
Across 100 stages, navigate terrain features, gaps, hazards, and devices including switches that open doors or lower bridges. Building tools let players choose how pieces are joined, and Logic Mode provides instruction-based routines for controlling creations. An open sandbox and a mountain challenge stage offer further places to build. The level editor lets players make and share stages, or try ones made by the community through Steam Workshop. Replay Mode shows recent actions from alternate views, in slow motion, or in reverse. Steam leaderboards and achievements are included, along with partial Xbox joystick support.
