Our take on Witch Thief
The witch roster and unfolding perspectives suggest a broad narrative, but the clearest playable structure is repeated projectile-dodging, stage progression, and boss fights. The one-hit rule makes even lower settings distinct from a conventional casual action game.
What is Witch Thief?
Witch Thief is a 3D bullet-hell adventure about stealing magical power and pursuing the Grimoire.
Players control witches through stages filled with dense projectile patterns, where a single hit causes death. The camera can be controlled in full 3D rather than using a conventional overhead view. Several playable witches offer different spells, dialogue, and boss encounters. Each stage and character has an original musical theme, while the story reveals more of the setting through different character perspectives. Boss battles use complex projectile attacks. Controls can be remapped for keyboard, mouse, and controller, and a dyslexic font option applies to in-game text. Difficulty settings range from Chill to Insanity, with the latter increasing projectile count and speed and allowing one life.
