Our take on X-Force Under Attack
The bounce point arrives when the screen fills with attacks from several directions at once. Players who can manage dense projectile patterns may continue into the later stages, but those who struggle with simultaneous threats will encounter that barrier before the increasingly difficult bosses.
What is X-Force Under Attack?
X-Force Under Attack is a chaotic space shooter inspired by shmup games from the 1980s and 1990s.
The campaign contains 10 distinct levels set around the planet Genesis, where enemies are building an orbital military base. Combat fills the screen with enemies and projectiles arriving from multiple directions, while comets add further hazards. Players can select among ships with different attributes, choose upgrades, and use power-ups to clear attacks and enemies. Each stage leads toward a large boss encounter, with bosses becoming more difficult as the game progresses. The objective is to stop the construction effort and end the period of tyranny by defeating the bosses spread throughout space.
