Our take on WITCH-BOT MEGLILO
The game replaces the usual expectation that bullet patterns must be avoided only through movement. Its time-stop warp lets the protagonist relocate through danger, while darkly comic scenes interrupt the vertical shooting structure with story-driven timing.
What is WITCH-BOT MEGLILO?
WITCH-BOT MEGLILO is a vertical shoot ’em up set in 1977.
Meglilo, a reconstructed witch-bot, pursues the Gogoh Army across multiple worlds and boss encounters. Players shoot enemies, dodge bullets, and pass through physical obstacles. The time-stop warp pauses the action and sends Meglilo to a selected location, protecting her from bullets and obstacles during the move. Its uses are limited, and the magic gauge drains quickly. Interchangeable, upgradeable satellites provide around 10 weapon variations, including multi-target shots, lasers, and drills. Left and right positions can carry different satellite types, allowing combinations such as melee on one side and lasers on the other. Dark-comedy scenes and camp dialogue connect the stages.
How WITCH-BOT MEGLILO plays
- 01Time-stop teleportation
- The warp moves Meglilo to a chosen point while protecting her from bullets and obstacles.
- 02Limited magic resource
- Warping consumes a gauge that depletes quickly, limiting repeated use.
- 03Satellite weapon variations
- Around 10 interchangeable and upgradeable options include multi-target shots, lasers, and drills.
- 04Split weapon setup
- The two satellite positions can carry different weapon types in the same loadout.
- 05Dark-comedy scenes
- The story advances through cut scenes featuring camp dialogue and morally questionable situations.
