StrategyIs WISE GUYS worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Groups of 4 or more players who enjoy accusing friends under time pressure
- Social deduction fans who want role-based sabotage alongside physical tasks
- Players who prefer short, chaotic sessions with melee confrontations
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a solo campaign or a quiet, low-conflict experience may hit a wall at the shared accusation and betrayal structure
- Players who dislike fast decisions may struggle when the timer, sabotage, and raid pressure converge
- Players looking for a long-form strategy game may find the focus on one criminal operation too narrow
Our take on WISE GUYS
The bounce point arrives when the operation combines a countdown with hidden sabotage. Players who need time to inspect evidence or coordinate calmly will face the hardest wall as accusations, physical tasks, and possible panic overlap.
What is WISE GUYS?
Wise Guys is a social deduction game for up to 12 players, set during a criminal operation threatened by an incoming raid.
Players take roles including Boss, Wise Guy, Rat, and Fed. The crew must locate contraband, sweep for surveillance devices, fill duffle bags, and move supplies to a van while time runs down. The Rat secretly sabotages tasks, steals items, spreads suspicion, and may trigger panic. The Fed gathers evidence while undercover. Players can accuse others, make rapid decisions, and use punches, kicks, stomps, grabs, and melee weapons during confrontations. Identifying the wrong suspect lets the Rat escape, while exposing the infiltrator may spare the Boss's crew.
How WISE GUYS plays
- 01Hidden Role Play
- Bosses, crew members, Rats, and undercover Feds pursue different objectives during the same operation.
- 02Timed Crime Tasks
- Players search for bugs, pack cash, guns, and drugs, then carry the items to a getaway van before the raid.
- 03Melee Combat
- Physical encounters allow punches, kicks, stomps, grabs, and the use of nearby weapons.
- 04Rat Sabotage
- The hidden Rat can interfere with the operation, steal contraband, drain the timer, and redirect suspicion.
