Our take on Ritual Night
The defining structure is social deduction without early eliminations: monsters continue the ritual while hidden humans sabotage it, keeping all participants involved as the match develops.
What is Ritual Night?
Ritual Night is an online social deduction game for 4-8 players.
Monsters cooperate to complete a ritual, while hidden human operatives lie, sabotage activities, and create confusion. Players are not removed early, giving eliminated-free matches a continuing role for everyone. Hidden roles and random events are structured to obscure information rather than reveal an impostor through a single clue. Procedurally generated map props and abilities granted through player actions add roguelite elements. Matches also include secrets, ciphers, and lore connected to regions shaped by an approaching Cthulhu-themed horror. Players can join lobbies with friends or random participants and work toward either summoning Cthulhu or disrupting the ritual.
How Ritual Night plays
- 01No Early Eliminations
- Players remain involved throughout the match instead of being removed at the start.
- 02Hidden Role Conflict
- Monster and human objectives place cooperation, deception, sabotage, and ritual progress in opposition.
- 03Chaos-Focused Information
- The game avoids direct clues that would clearly identify an impostor and gives exposed players tools to create further confusion.
- 04Roguelite Elements
- Map props can appear procedurally, while player actions can grant additional abilities.
- 05Online Lobby Play
- Matches support groups of 4-8 participants, including friends and random players.
