Our take on Western Press
Rather than using the frontier duel as a setup for a broader adventure, Western Press makes the duel itself the entire contest: a ten-input speed test. Its tournament structure turns a familiar standoff into a brief competitive reaction challenge.
What is Western Press?
Western Press is a frontier-themed dueling game built around brief reaction contests.
Players face off in 1v1 rounds, pressing a randomly generated sequence of ten buttons as quickly as possible. Tournaments support two to 16 competitors, combining local players, online players, and bots, with the game handling the match-ups. Custom settings can limit prompts to directions or use broader controller layouts. Keyboard play includes ten-letter words, random gibberish, and controller-style patterns. A Skill Tester provides profiles, ranks, and unlockable characters, beginning with four playable characters and offering 12 more to earn. Memory Mode asks players to repeat increasingly long button sequences. Steam Workshop support adds community-created characters, environments, sounds, and taunts.
