Our take on Walkerman
The investigation format trades immediate action for reading, observation, and preparation. Combat outcomes depend on gathered items and learned creature rules, so players seeking fast, repeatable battles may find the pace deliberate.
What is Walkerman?
Walkerman follows Jorgen, a young monster hunter arriving in the city-state of Midgard.
Each act focuses on investigating a supernatural creature, learning the conditions it obeys, finding useful items, and confronting it. Most scenes use a visual-novel format in which decisions affect Jorgen’s personal life and contracts. Battles take place on isometric, pseudo-board-game layouts, with choices involving movement, item use, and rapid decisions. Encounters can have different solutions depending on collected items and knowledge of the creature. The game currently includes a prologue and Acts 1 and 2; Act 3 is listed as a future installment. It also includes illustrated characters, branching story paths, an episodic soundtrack, and an extras menu with a CG gallery and music room.
