Our take on VRog
The central format is a frog’s-eye VR view, with leaping across a pond as the basis for its arcade, survival, and party modes.
What is VRog?
VRog is a virtual reality frog game played from a frog’s viewpoint, with movement centered on leaping across a pond.
Arcade Mode focuses on catching insects and setting a high score while avoiding wasps. Dragonflies trigger slow motion, and ladybugs provide night vision. In Survival Mode, the frog dodges a stork while trying to eat enough insects to continue; each subsequent stork raises the challenge. Party Mode offers a hopping competition with friends, and its high score resets every 12 hours. The store listing names HTC Vive and Oculus Rift as the ways to view the game world.
How VRog plays
- 01Insect Effects
- Dragonflies slow the action, while ladybugs enable night vision.
- 02Escalating Stork Chase
- Eating enough insects lets a run continue, but each new stork makes survival harder.
- 03Timed Party Scores
- Party Mode clears its high score every 12 hours for hopping competitions with friends.
