Our take on Volume
Its defining structure is the combination of a 100-level stealth campaign and a built-in system for making and sharing additional stages, with checkpoint rules that change across three play modes.
What is Volume?
Volume is a near-future stealth action game based on a Robin Hood-style heist story.
Players control Robert Locksley as he investigates Gisborne Industries and carries out increasingly ambitious robberies. The campaign contains 100 levels, with gadgets introduced as progression continues. Stealth relies on sneaking past guards, creating distractions, and avoiding detection. Three modes change the checkpoint rules: Freedom keeps checkpoints active, Lockdown disables them during pursuits, and Execution removes them throughout. The game also includes tools for building and sharing custom levels. Its setting combines futuristic elements with the Robin Hood inspiration, accompanied by an original soundtrack composed by David Housden. The cast includes Andy Serkis, Danny Wallace, and Charlotte McDonnell.
