Skip it if you…

- Players wanting a finished campaign should note that the game is in Steam Early Access.
Our take on Virballs
The focus on capturing creatures and combining their elements gives combat many possible weapon combinations, but it also makes experimentation a central requirement. Players seeking a straightforward platformer with a fixed arsenal may find that trade-off limiting.
What is Virballs?
Control ORB, a robot tasked with containing Dr.
Corvid’s elemental creatures on six planets. Use grappling claws to seize Virballs and merge Earth, Water, Fire, Electricity, Air, and Slime traits into over 40 weapon variations. Platforming levels combine running, jumping, combat, hazards, and environmental puzzles, with blasters, thrusters, and claws supporting movement and attacks. Every world introduces its own dangers. Defeating bosses grants elemental Cores that increase the range of possible combinations. The adventure also involves assisting the Floober King with the evacuation of his people. Virballs is available through Steam Early Access, and its description says that additional planets and missions are planned. The complete release, covering all six planets, is scheduled for early 2025.
