Our take on Comit the Astrodian
Rather than adopting a newer platformer structure, the game preserves the shape of a 1994 concept. Its rocket-pack movement, star-based rewards, and added save system place a modern convenience alongside an older design framework.
What is Comit the Astrodian?
Comit the Astrodian is an action platformer based on a 1994 blueprint and shaped after early platform games.
Players guide Comit, a meteor man from Astrodia, across several planets while opposing the space pirate Krater and his robotic army. Comit uses a rocket pack to boost through stages and double jump. Yellow and red stars provide lives or access to bonus stages. The objective is to remove Krater from each planet and reclaim the star system. The current version keeps the original design while adding a save system. The concept began on paper, with a first prototype made in 2011 and the current version starting development in January 2016.
