Our take on Unrect
Its defining structure combines block-by-block base construction with direct tactical control of colonists during enemy attacks.
What is Unrect?
Unrect is a 2D sandbox game about expanding a colony while defending it from hostile creatures.
The player gathers essence from caves and defeated enemies, then uses it to restore health or create colonists. Bases are built by placing blocks, with equipment, traps, mines, turrets, and capsules supporting defense and production. Colonists can be assigned to turrets, essence-producing capsules, or companion roles. Tactical slow-motion commands direct their actions during attacks. Colonists gain skill points through work, allowing improvements to their turret use, strength, and working speed. Exploration includes caves, enemy settlements, life capsules, fast travel, and new areas to support colony growth.
