Our take on Cento
Combat is defined by the need to enter commands in rhythm while adapting card combinations to the opponent’s attacks.
What is Cento?
Cento is a game where commands are entered in time with music and skills are activated during fights.
The cards in hand and the opponent’s attacks shape each battle’s available combinations. Skills and gifts received from existing characters can be combined into a custom deck. Stages range from cities to ruins and use different background music, with tempo and beat affecting the playing experience. Endurance mode focuses on consecutive battles while skills are reinforced and more gifts are obtained. New skills can then be used to launch stronger attacks.
How Cento plays

- Commands and skill activations are performed in rhythm while responding to the opponent’s attacks.
- 02Custom skill deck
- Skills and gifts from existing characters can be freely combined into a personal deck.
- 03Endurance mode
- Consecutive battles provide opportunities to reinforce skills and obtain gifts and new skills.
- 04Varied battle stages
- City and ruin settings use different music, with tempo and beat changing the playing experience.
Cento compared to similar games
Cento combines rhythm-based command input with skill activation, deck construction, and battles. Intralism focuses on matching arcs to the beat across beatmaps, with tools for creating maps and online multiplayer, rather than character skills, gifts, and endurance battles.
