What is UNDER DEFEAT?
UNDER DEFEAT is a military vertical scrolling shooter set during a ceasefire between the Empire and Federation after more than a decade of war.
Players select one of four combat helicopters and destroy enemy weapons with attacks that target both airborne and ground units. Missions use maneuvering, rapid close-range attacks, and strategic progression across stages. The game includes three main modes with different screen layouts, stage arrangements, and rules: NEW ORDER, NEW ORDER+, and Arcade. Training allows stage practice and replay recording, while Online Rankings supports score competition. Gameplay progress opens illustrations and other materials in Gallery mode. Options include DUAL STICK controls, subtitles for radio exchanges, contribution and rank displays, and the BOOSTED music set.
