Our take on TETRACHROMA
The color rule adds planning overhead to every placement: matching blocks is not enough when line colors can change. That extra layer gives the game its distinct puzzle identity, but it also makes the action less immediate than conventional falling-block play.
What is TETRACHROMA?
TETRACHROMA is a puzzle game about arranging falling blocks whose tiles can carry multiple colors.
A completed row disappears only when all of its occupied spaces match, while placing a piece beside a row changes that row’s color. This system can produce clears of 15 or more lines with one placement. The game includes modern block-stacking rules such as corner movement, delayed locking, rotations, flawless clears, and combo bonuses. It offers 40 crafted puzzles, over five play modes, and marathon variants ending at 400 or 100 lines.
Standard, Console, Big, and Cell alter the rules, board dimensions, or available pieces. Six speed levels run from Peaceful through Death. Clearing modes opens over 10 block styles and more than 20 color palettes.
