Our take on Beatdown Brawler
Rather than relying only on conventional beat ’em up combat, the game adds a mode where actions are judged against musical timing. Its structure also shifts from finite encounters to an endless survival format with rising difficulty.
What is Beatdown Brawler?
Beatdown Brawler is a three-dimensional combat game built around successive enemy waves and four play types: Traditional, Tournament’s one-on-one bouts, Survival’s progressively harder open-ended run, and Rhythm.
Career mode offers a structured adventure, whereas custom stages let players choose songs and challenge settings separately. Five difficulty options vary the level of challenge. The initial cast includes three heroes, and a fourth can be earned during play. Its fighting system includes chi, forceful strikes, evasive moves, guarding, linked attacks, and special skills. In Rhythm mode, mistimed actions receive penalties. Survival ends when the character is defeated, while the difficulty rises throughout. Players can also activate traps for an extra hazard.
