Our take on Two Worlds II HD - Shattered Embrace
Its defining structure is unusual for downloadable content: Shattered Embrace is sold as a standalone single-player adventure, so the main Two Worlds II game is not required. The campaign then moves from an Elven tropical island into alternate dimensions, including Hell.
What is Two Worlds II HD - Shattered Embrace?
Shattered Embrace is a standalone, single-player RPG set after the events of Call of the Tenebrae.
The adventure takes place in Shadinar, an Elven kingdom on a tropical island where a broken truce, a royal murder, and an old evil threaten Antaloor. The campaign includes side quests, guilds with rank progression, hunting for sport and alchemy ingredients, and equipment choices across more than 100 weapons and 15 armor sets. Players investigate settlements, explore forests and steppes, and enter alternate dimensions, including Hell. The adventure features sentient machines, beasts, demons, and renegade deities, alongside new weather and magic effects. It does not require Two Worlds II or previous experience with the series.
