Our take on Gnome Online
Its defining structure is a persistent, zone-free world where guilds fight over cities and villages while players develop characters through chosen skills instead of levels.
What is Gnome Online?
Gnome Online is a real-time PvP sandbox MMORPG centered on guilds, territory, and large-scale conflict.
Players recruit and train warriors, capture fortresses and cities, form alliances, and defend or expand their realms. The world spans a continent and islands without zones or instances, with travel by foot, horse, ship, or magic. Character progression uses skills rather than levels: players select 11 random school skills, including one ultimate skill, alongside general skills available to everyone. Combat uses manual targeting from a top-down isometric perspective. Players can also specialize as fighters, politicians, merchants, or craftsmen. Equipment, from basic weapons to dragon armor, is made by players and supports an in-game economy.
How Gnome Online plays
- 01Guild Territory Wars
- Guilds can seize cities, hamlets, and nearby villages, then defend them through alliances, diplomacy, and clan warfare.
- 02Skill-Based Progression
- Characters improve selected abilities without levels, combining general skills with school-specific choices.
- 03Player-Made Equipment
- Players craft equipment ranging from swords and shields to dragon armor for use in the game economy.
- 04Large-Scale Combat
- Manual targeting supports real-time skirmishes, sieges, and battles involving hundreds of players.
- 05Open World Travel
- The setting includes a continent and islands reached on foot, horseback, by ship, or through magic.
