Our take on TRISTOY
The two-player focus gives the game a coordinated, shared experience, but rules out solo play. Its puzzles and story decisions depend on another player being part of the session, so it is a narrower fit than platformers built around individual play.
What is TRISTOY?
TRISTOY is a two-player 2D platformer set in an ancient fortress.
Players take the roles of Prince Freedan and Wizard Stayn, working together to escape its dungeons and confront the Witch Ink. The game combines platforming, combat, traps, monsters, puzzles and quests with a non-linear story, dialogue choices and multiple endings. It can be played locally on one screen or through online co-op, with a split-screen view that changes as the players move. Controls include a keyboard, a controller or a smartphone using the UNIPLAY companion app. The game is built for two-player cooperative play; its puzzles and story choices are intended to be tackled together.
