Our take on Tricone Lab
Progression is based on mastery of particular elements rather than a fixed sequence of levels. The puzzles also center on altering cellular compartments and using compounds with different abilities, replacing the familiar format of solving a puzzle without changing its underlying structure.
What is Tricone Lab?
Tricone Lab is an abstract puzzle game about constructing tricone units inside cell compartments.
Levels involve changing cell structures, including opening compartment walls, and using available resources with catalysts to create compounds. Each compound has a distinct ability. New resource, catalyst, and compound types appear as the puzzles progress. The game has 100 puzzle levels, tutorial stages, and non-linear progression based on mastery of particular elements. Undo and redo functions let players test different approaches to a level. A graphical editor supports custom puzzle creation. Steam Achievements are available for mastering puzzle sets, and the game includes a colour-blind mode.
