The focus on grid puzzles and steadily changing mechanics trades away a simpler, immediately familiar structure. Players must repeatedly learn how new objects and rules interact, while the built-in editor and user-level library add another layer beyond the main campaign.
What is Blackshift?
Tackle tile-based action challenges in a campaign exceeding 100 stages, using firearms, barriers, mechanical enemies, explosives, beams, moving walkways, reflective surfaces, devices, traps, access items, entrances, warp points, gems, and energy barriers.
The game gradually adds fresh objects and rules, so most stages present an unfamiliar twist. Searching beyond the obvious route uncovers hidden rooms, alternate ways forward, secrets, and bonus stages. A built-in editor allows stage creation and publication through the Level Pit. This hub offers thousands of community-made stages, individual score tables for each one, and replays showing how others completed published creations.
