Our take on Total Tank Generals
The page stresses historical campaigns and a documentary-like presentation, but the listed play is built around tactical turns, unit composition, and scenario objectives. The extended Rommel campaign is presented separately from the original campaign, with four additional scenarios.
What is Total Tank Generals?
Command an army in World War II campaigns and scenarios based on historical generals including Patton, Zhukov, and Rommel.
Battles use turn-based tactics: select from dozens of unit options, position forces around terrain, manage ammunition and supplies, and use air support for reconnaissance, paradrops, or bombardment. Units can be stacked to combine their features and abilities. The game includes the original Rommel campaign and a separate extended campaign with revised battles, new objectives and conditions, AI improvements, and four additional scenarios. A map editor supports creating campaign missions and standalone scenarios. Steam Workshop support allows sharing community-made scenarios and modifying unit statistics, mechanics, units, and visuals.
