Our take on Total Conflict: Resistance
Rather than stopping at an overhead strategy map or a direct-action battlefield, the game connects national policy, tactical command, and first-person combat. Its structure shifts between managing provinces and personally directing forces, replacing a single strategic scale with several linked viewpoints.
What is Total Conflict: Resistance?
Lead a faction in Cambridia’s civil war across three connected modes.
Strategic play covers provinces, domestic and foreign policy, economy, industry, diplomacy, political events, decrees, and research. Tactical mode places squads on battlefield maps with orders for movement, shooting, and weapon use, while first-person play lets commanders direct individual fighters, squads, or whole units. Build an army, establish fortifications and settlements, produce or buy weapons and vehicles, and transport ammunition, food, medical supplies, and fuel. Combat includes infantry and vehicles, with helicopters, tanks, self-propelled artillery, armored personnel carriers, and air strikes. The game supports battles involving up to 200 people, weapon modification, uniform creation, alliances, wars, province capture, and the creation or joining of factions.
