ActionIs Toroom worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Roguelike fans who want runs with changing rooms, enemies, and loot
- Top-down shooter players who enjoy clearing enemy-filled rooms
- Dungeon-crawler players who want to collect gear and face biome bosses
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a fixed world and the same encounters on each run may find the generated layouts and changing enemies frustrating.
- Players who prefer gradual, low-pressure combat may hit a wall at the hard boss fights that block progression to the next biome.
- Players looking for a multiplayer shooter may not find the play style they want here.
Our take on Toroom
The likely bounce point is the boss gate between biomes: players who can clear rooms but struggle with the hard boss fights cannot reach the next area. The changing world, enemies, and loot also mean a run does not repeat the same setup.
What is Toroom?
Toroom is a top-down dungeon-crawling shooter with roguelike elements.
The protagonist wakes in a fantasy world and tries to return to his bedroom. Each run generates a different world, with new enemies and loot across multiple biomes. Players clear rooms, collect coins and items, and use shops to buy weapons, items, and pets. More than 70 regular, cursed, and ultra-rare items and more than 35 weapons are available, with weapons made for individual biomes. Hard bosses stand between the player and the next biome.
