Our take on Timespinner
The revenge premise is prominent, but the story also presents the conflict as morally complicated rather than simply heroic. Exploration, combat, familiars, local co-op, and pixel art receive substantial attention too, making the revenge plot only one part of the overall experience.
What is Timespinner?
Timespinner follows Lunais, a timekeeper seeking revenge against the Lachiem Empire after her family is killed.
Transported to an unfamiliar world after the Timespinner device is destroyed, she uses time manipulation to move between the present and past versions of Lachiem. Exploration combines platforming, secret areas, puzzle-solving, and hidden treasures. Combat uses blades, spells, and elemental Magic Orbs that become stronger through repeated use. Familiars can be befriended and trained to assist in battle, while boss encounters focus on timing, dodging, and skill. A second player can control Lunais’ Familiar in local co-op. The game includes pixel-art environments, a gothic PS1-style soundtrack, and gamepad support on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
