Our take on Theatre of War 3: Korea
The defining structure links campaign movement to combat: the strategic position of forces determines which tactical engagements are generated.
What is Theatre of War 3: Korea?
Theatre of War 3: Korea recreates two Korean War campaigns set in the 1950s: a North Korean campaign from June 25 to August 20 and an American campaign from September 15 to October 8.
Forces move across the Korean Peninsula while reserves, fuel, and ammunition are managed at the strategic level. Tactical engagements are generated according to the wider strategic situation, with non-linear campaign progression. A campaign generator adds the USSR faction for alternate scenarios. Battles include infantry, artillery, armor, aviation, and transport helicopters. The control system focuses on squads rather than individual soldiers, while engineer units conduct mining and demining in real time. Korean terrain and architecture are modeled in detail, and a binocular view is available.
