- Players looking for a story-focused adventure may find the game centered on movement, survival, and score records.
Our take on The Worm
Rather than keeping the worm in a fixed grid, the game places it in procedurally generated mazes where its body grows when blocks are activated. Enemy pursuit, selectable cameras, and configurable enemy settings add action and variation to the familiar self-collision rule.
What is The Worm?
The Worm is a casual maze game centered on a growing worm.
Activating blocks makes the worm longer, while touching its own body ends the run. Procedurally generated levels randomly place the worm, enemies, blocks, and other elements. The game includes open and walled labyrinths, plus open and walled caves. Enemies pursue the worm with different movement behaviors and speeds, while movable spherical bonuses can kill them. Players can adjust the camera, difficulty, enemy quantity, and enemy speed. Levels have no stated limit, with larger mazes and increasing numbers of enemies and blocks. The game records statistics such as score, play time, defeated enemies, filled blocks, jumps, and completed or failed levels. It also stores high scores with partial statistics.
