Our take on The Wild at Heart
The creature-command system adds gathering, combat, construction, and puzzle-solving responsibilities, but that breadth means the game is not focused solely on direct combat. Nightfall also imposes a rhythm around darkness, hostile beings, and campfire safety.
What is The Wild at Heart?
Command a growing group of Spritelings while exploring the Deep Woods, a connected fantasy world containing forests, caves, coastline, shrines, secrets, and lore.
The creatures can break objects, collect loot, fight enemies, construct routes, and support other tasks. Exploration includes solving environmental puzzles and uncovering the mysteries of a lost realm alongside two young runaways. Gather magical crystals, scrap, electrical components, and other resources to create structures, items, and upgrades. Combat combines the swarm’s abilities with the Gustbuster vacuum against wildlife and supernatural enemies. At night, hostile beings emerge, making campfire light an important part of moving through the world.
